It’s been three months since I sent my last issue of Radical Things.
I came out of the gates hard. Probably at an unsustainable rate, if I thought about it clearly.
I’ve had a lot going on - which I won’t bore you with.
Suffice to say I’m consolidating several activities under one roof. The goal is to make everything more streamlined and easy to deliver.
I’ve burned myself out before. I don‘t intend to do it again!
You’ll notice new branding related to the above. This will make more sense as other changes emerge.
When I started writing, I received some advice:
“Focus on writing for a single person.”
I ignored this and consequently struggled to find my flow and consistency.
I’m rectifying this by re-focussing on designers as the audience I’ll be serving.
The goal is to inspire you to think differently about the future of design, be more strategic in your career and boost your creativity.
I’ll also moving to a fortnightly schedule. I’m being kinder to myself and it also creates more space to write with care and consideration.
If you’re not a designer - maybe you’ll hang around for a few issues to see if it’s still useful.
If not, no worries, I won’t hold it against you. :)
The next radical things will be about creative action.
Hold the line caller. We will resume our regular transmission shortly.
